Their interests include crime prevention; transnational crimes such as terrorism 和 human trafficking; drugs 和 crime; 和 important issues such as race, ethnicity 和 gender in the criminal 正义 system.
Dr. 维多利亚•艾伯特’s research efforts include evaluation of offender reentry program resourcing. 她 is currently leading a mixed methods evaluation of the Bexar County Reentry Center funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Second Chance Act. 这个计划和评估 of the Reentry Center, a one-stop-shop of resources 和 services for the formerly 正义-involved aims to reduce recidivism amongst chronic offenders by 50% through 县. 在这个角色中，Dr. Terranova has collaborated with county officials to strategically plan the programming 和 services provided by the Reentry Center, develop a data collection plan 和 infrastructure to support on-going evaluation of the Reentry Center, as well as evaluate the impact of these efforts on recidivism.
