Exp和ing Learning Opportunities for Emerging Bilingual Students
达纳·沃克博士.D., Associate Professor of Culturally 和 Linguistically Diverse Education
For the past ten years, Dana Walker’s research has focused on school-community-university 合作. The goal is to identify how arts 和 youth media programs exp和 learning opportunities for emerging bilingual students. Walker uses cultural historical activity theory (CHAT) 和 interactional ethnography (which combines discourse analysis with ethnographic methods) to study change over time in learning communities 和 individuals. Her publications include a book based on her research, A Pedagogy of Empowered Communication: Youth Radio 和 Radio 艺术 in the Multilingual 教室.
