This degree provides wide flexibility in course selection, enabling you to focus your studies on subjects that fit your career objectives 和 provide a strong science-base 研究生院. Common areas of focus include health care, fitness, business, food production 和 service. In addition, you can combine the nutrition degree with a second major in Nursing, Sports Medicine, Athletic Training or other health-related 学科. However you structure your program, you’ll gain h和s-on knowledge 和 skills through projects 和 observations in food service settings, community service programs 和 on-campus labs. The degree prepares you to sit for the Certified Dietary Manager exam, should you seek that credential.

The nutrition minor can be useful for students who are preparing for health-related graduate studies such as medical school, sports medicine, physical assistance, public health or similar fields. The nutrition minor consists of three core nutrition courses, one course of chemistry or biochemistry 和 six credits of electives.
