类候补名单

Was a course you were hoping to take full? Take a deep breath – we offer a 候补名单 option. While this doesn’t guarantee you’ll be able to take the course you wanted, 你可以去排队.

自动化的候补名单

Automated 候补名单ing lets you add yourself to a 候补名单 for a class that’s full (见  等待学生帮助表 for instructions on how to do so through Ursa). Not all courses will have a 候补名单 option. If a spot opens up, we’ll send you an email in Bear Mail according to your 候补名单上的位置. Once you receive that email, you’ll have 24 hours to 注册 这堂课 – if you do not take action with the 24 hour period, you’ll be dropped from the 候补名单 and the open seat will be available to the next person on the 候补名单.

一般候补名单指引

• Waitlist is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Waitlist holds a spot in line should a seat become available – it does not guarantee 教室里的一个座位.
• You’ll receive an automatic notification via Bear Mail once a seat becomes available – so make sure to check your Bear Mail frequently!
• If notified, you’ll have a 24-hour time limit, starting when the email was sent, to 注册. You are not automatically enrolled in the course.
• If you do not 注册 within 24 hours, you will 他被从候补名单上除名了 and 下一个学生将被通知.
• Waitlist is available up to the last day to add a class in Ursa; regular late-add procedures will apply after this point.
• Not all courses will make a 候补名单 available.
• Any registration restrictions such as holds, prerequisites, co-requisites, cohorts, 时间冲突等. will still apply before being able to add yourself to a 候补名单.
• You cannot 候补名单 for a different section of a course you are already 注册ed for, nor can you 候补名单 for more than one section of the same course.

候补名单常见问题解答

• Which courses are eligible for the registration 候补名单?

  Not all classes will have a 候补名单 option – 候补名单 participation is up to the 讲师或学术部门. If you have any questions regarding a specific 类,请 联系学术部门.

• When a seat is available, is the next student on the list automatically 注册ed 这堂课?

  No, you are not automatically 注册ed for a class. 我们会给你发通知的 via your Bear Mail account that a seat is available in a specific section. 电子邮件 will give you a deadline (24 hours) by which you must 注册 对于这个部分 or 他被从候补名单上除名了. Please pay close attention to your registration date and time deadline – if you are notified on the last day to add courses through Ursa, you may have less than 24 hours to 注册.

• Can I see my 候补名单上的位置?

  Yes, you may see where you are on the Registration Waitlist for a specific section by clicking on “Detail Schedule” in Ursa.

• Can I sign up for a 候补名单 if I haven’t met the prerequisite or don’t meet the restrictions 对于这个部分?

  No, you must meet the prerequisite and section restrictions in order to 候补名单. You may contact the instructor of the course to discuss the restrictions.

• May I be on 候补名单s for more than one course at a time?

  Yes, you may 注册 for more than one Registration Waitlist. 没有限制. However, you cannot place yourself on multiple 候补名单 sections for the same course.

• May I still be on a 候补名单 if I failed the in-progress prerequisite the prior term?

  No, if you failed a pre-requisite are on the 候补名单, you will be dropped from the 候补名单. 

• I received an email informing me that a space was available in a section and I could 注册. However, I did not read it in time to 注册 before the 24-hour deadline.

  You are responsible for routinely checking your Bear Mail account. 如果你错过了 24-hour deadline, you will lose your spot and must re‐注册 for the 候补名单 if you still wish to 注册 for that class or section.

• How long does this notification process go on during the semester?

  The notification process proceeds through the add deadline of the course. 通知 that are sent out on the add deadline will expire at midnight that day, which may give you less than 24 hours to 注册. Ursa does not allow online registration after 添加截止日期的午夜.

  If you receive permission from the department to 注册 for a section after the 添加截止日期后，您需要提交 申请延期添加表格 to the 司法常务官办公室 for consideration.

• 候补名单什么时候到期?
  All 候补名单 positions will expire at midnight on the last day to add that class.
• How does the 候补名单 affect my financial aid?

  Waitlisted courses do not count towards 您的注册状态 (whether you’re full-time 或兼职). Since enrollment status directly impacts your financial aid awards and offers, you must be 注册ed, not 候补名单ed, for those credit hours to impact 您的注册状态.
